Overview

We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness - home of the elusive monster – and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside. After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

Meeting points

Meet 15 minutes before departure, across from the Victorian Market entrance, for check-in. Look for a blue or yellow bus.

  • Eilean Donan Castle can be subject to closures for private events. If so, additional time will be allocated elsewhere and the castle will be a photo stop.

Really nice one day trip from Inverness

I really enjoyed this trip! From the beginning, Sonia explained in detail all we were visiting, making the experience really interesting and informative. I especially enjoyed the different legends she told us about various places. Additionally, we stopped at several spots where the views were absolutely spectacular. I highly recommend this tour!

11/10 Sonia was our tour guide and she was absolutely stellar. Great jokes and goated music playing. Saw the most incredible views ever and a highland coo, can't go wrong with that. Would recommend and if you get Sonia then I can say your tour has gotten even better. GMA Sonia :)

We had such an amazing time, Sonia was an amazing guide; funny, informative and passionate about the given information. Will definitely recommend it to my friends and family back home in Spain. The landscape is astonishing, definitely a must for nature-lovers. Also, we went in March and the weather was amazingly good.
