At Corran Cottage Tours we offer extensive knowledge of the area. The driver is very experienced in driving around the Highlands. Itinerary

Urquhart Castle

We will drive from Invergordon and visit Urquhart Castle. A historic fortress located on the shore of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It holds a strategic position overlooking Loch Ness, one of Scotland's most famous lochs. The exact origins of Urquhart Castle are uncertain, but it is believed to have been built in the 13th century. The castle played a significant role in the conflicts between the Scottish clans and the English during the Wars of Scottish Independence. It changed hands several times and underwent various modifications and expansions over the centuries.
