    In two of Borgarnes’s oldest buildings The Settlement Center is devoted to recreating Iceland’s earliest days and introduces visitors to one of the best known heroes of the Icelandic Sagas, Egil Skalla-Grimsson.

    Deildartunguhver is the highest-flowing hot spring in Europe and is widely known for its rapid flow rate of 180 litres (380 pints) per second.

    Víðgelmir is perhaps the best preserved cave of the well known caves in Iceland.

    Hraunfossar ('Lava Falls' in English) in Borgarfjörður district is a series of beautiful waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming out of the Hallmundarhraun lava field.

This Cave is a MUST SEE..

What an amazing tour…. I’m an executive out of NY and am not the easiest of people to please… or says my assistant. This company was professional, amazing, informative, on time, accommodating and went the extra mile every chance they got to make me and my husband happy. We actually realized after booking that this one private company was who we booked for multiple trips and were extremely pleased when we figured it out. They answered questions, made stops we didn’t expect and even provided boots (wellies) one day when they thought we might get wet without us asking. I almost wish I could take them around the world with me because I was definitely spoiled. This cave is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Erika & John Bolsch
