Overview

Relax in a horse carriage during a private 1-hour tour of Seville with a capacity for 4 people. From the comfort of the traditional carriage, admire the beauty of the places cataloged by UNESCO. We will begin the panoramic in typical Seville horse carriage to enter on the Plaza del Triunfo where we can see the Real Alcázar, the Cathedral and its Giralda passing through the Archivo de Indias of great historical value. We will cross the Paseo Colón to admire the Torre del Oro on the shores of the Guadalquivir River and contemplate the San Telmo´s Palace, the old Tobacco Factory, the famous Lope de Vega Theater, the great María Luisa´s Park, the majestic Plaza de España, the Plaza de America and the Plaza de Juan de Austria. We will finish our tour in the starting point. Also you can choose to complete your experience including a bottle of champagne to enjoy during the tour.

Itinerary

Choose a morning or evening departure when you book, then make your way to Sevilla's Hotel Alfonso XIII to climb aboard your private, horse-drawn carriage that can seat up to four passengars. Begin the tour by heading to the Plaza del Triunfo, where you will see the Alcázar; a royal palace originally developed by Moorish Muslim kings. Be wowed by the impressive Seville Cathedral and its Giralda bell-tower, and see the Archivo de Indias; a repository of valuable documents illustrating the history of the of Spanish Empire in the Americas. Next, tour the Paseo Colon and admire the Torre del Oro; a 12-sided military watchtower on the River Guadalquivir. Contemplate the Palacio de San Telmo, the seat of the presidency of the Andalusian government. Pass the famous Lope de Vega Theater, Maria Luisa Park, the majestic Plazas of Spain, America, and Juan de Austria. To make your tour truly memorable, you can upgrade it to include a bottle of champagne. The tour concludes after one hour, back at the Hotel Alfonso XIII.

We were on vacation, walking around the city and one of the people suggested that we take a carriage ride. After asking for a price, 45€ for each carriage (4 people) and we easily negotiated for each one to take 5, since there were 10 of us, we rented 2 carriages and took a tour of the historic center of Seville. What a great decision that was made. 50 minutes where you saw and heard the history of the city and it is immense, where you walked through the chaotic traffic of Seville. I strongly recommend that you take this trip, it is very comprehensive and beautiful.

Don't bother to book the horse and carriage tour in advance as you can find many around the cathedral and Alcazar just waiting to be hired. Also the price is a lot cheaper at 42 euros for up to four people. Check the carriages first as some are more roomy than others.Makes a good rest after spending hours walking around the Alcazar which is a must. To avoid spending hours queuing in the sun, book in advance on line. It is the same price and you can choose what time for admission. This goes for the cathedral as well. Cannot understand why loads of people do not do this. Perhaps they think they are saving money. More fool them. Note: if you are a pensioner you get reduced rate; Alcazar is 4 euros and audio guide is 6 euros( no discount on that ) Cathedral is 4 euros and audio guide is 3 euros. We live in Andalucia and have visited Seville several times now and will be returning again later this month to show some friends around. Hope this has been helpful to you.

The horse and carriage tour is a wonderful and fun tour. It covers a good part of all the attractions in Seville and gives you a good idea of where everything is in Seville. We took the tour from the Cathedral and Real Alcazar area which is a good area to start from, for when you return you are back to almost the center of where everything is. The drivers will point out area attractions, so it is not just a silent ride. It is a wonderful tour, a must when in Seville.
