Overview

Itinerary

Speed and Convenience: The Airport Express is the fastest way to travel between HKIA and downtown Hong Kong, taking only 24 minutes to travel the 35-kilometer distance. The trains run every 10 minutes, so you won't have to wait long for your train. Comfort: The trains are clean, modern, and comfortable, with ample space for luggage. The seats are designed for maximum comfort, and there is free Wi-Fi available onboard.

Great service

Absolutely great service, quick, cheap and comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone. Also easy to take large luggage.

Smooth ride and predictable

We took the express train for our departure as it’s more predictable. Using the octopus card, we took the train from yau ma tei to lai king and change to train going to Tsing Yi and the. Change to AirPort Express. It was a long walk from Tsing yi yo AirPort Express line. Use the trip planner and you can estimate the amount of time needed. It was accurate. Ride was smooth with plenty of seats.

E tickets are Better!

Quite alot of people queuing up to buy tickets when I went in May. It is highly recommended you buy the e-tickets online on Trip.com. They are not only more convinient but are cheaper than the ticket counters. Return tickets are valid within 30 days from the day you catch the train. FYI theres no ticket demand at the airport only at other stations, that is where you scan the eticket QR code.

The airport express service is very good. The boarding platform at the airport is easy to find. Because of the protests, the Tsing Yi and Kowloon stations were not always open, but service to Hong Kong station was always open and available. The trains are very clean and fast; the best way to go to the city from the airport.

An excellent way to get from HKG to the city

After a long flight, the last thing you need is the hassle of airport transfers. The Airport Express takes care of that. A short walk from the arrival hall and you can board a comfortable train fro the trip into the city. Another bonus is the connecting shuttles. If you are lucky enough to be staying at one of the hotel stops on the routes, you can then catch a small bus which drops you off at the foyer of your hotel. Great value
