Overview

Located about 70 km to the northwest of HCMC, Cu Chi tunnel is the miniature of the creative and transformed battle of Cu Chi people and soldiers in the fierce fight, lasting for 30 years against the aggressors for independence, freedom of the country. With its victory scale, Cu Chi tunnel went into the history of heroic struggle of the Vietnamese as a legend of the 20th century and became famous in the world. So glad we did it

Really good trip. Was recommended to take speed boat trip to tunnels avoiding traffic and queues. It was 100%. Mr Chi was our guide who could not be faulted for knowledge, honesty and humour. We had 11 in our group and it was perfect. Hotel wasn’t listed on pick up so we chose nearest and contacted Saigon river cruises to ask if they could include our hotel. There was no problem and pick up was arranged. Thank you for the great trip and accommodating us during your lunar new year festivities.

Must do experience for those interested in learning about the Vietnam experience.

Great alternative to go by speed boat rather than road. Guide enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Lunch was great with veggie options and plenty of it.

Perfect way to visit the tunnels. Well worth the extra money, to avoid time spent on a coach! Can’t miss the tunnels when in HCM.

The speedboat to the Cu Chi tunnel was great! Much better than taking a long bus ride. Mr. Chi was our guide, he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and I loved that shared his personal family experience during the Vietnam war. The tour was organized, I got picked up at my hotel on time, and the tour finished on time. Highly recommend!

Best Way to Go

The very best way to see the tunnels from Ho Chi Minh City. While the boat leaves relatively early (8 or 9AM), it's a fast, pleasant journey upriver allowing you to beat the crowds and see the tunnels in a relaxed atmosphere. And Mr. Chi, our experienced guide, was as good as it gets in providing a small-group, guided tour of everything there while knowledgeably answering all our questions. A little more expensive than some other options, but honestly, what more could you ask for?
