Overview

Fly to a mountain top close to Reykjavik City on a short helicopter tour from Reykjavik, and enjoy bird’s-eye views of Iceland’s dramatic scenery. The morning or afternoon flight includes a touch down at the top of one of the mountains near the city.  Have your camera ready to capture breathtaking panoramic views, and then fly back to Reykjavik. This total duration of this tour is 30-45 minutes, approx.15-20 minute guided helicopter flight and a 15 minute landing on a nearby mountain.

Departure Point: Reykjavik Domestic Airport/ East side Address: Building 313, Nauthóslvegur 58d, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland Directions: The Domestic Airport is in Reykjavík City Centre, a short 5 minutes drive from the main shopping street Laugavegur. Please note that we are on the East side of the aiport, behind Icelandair Hotel Natura and in between Isavia and the domestic airline Eagle Air. We are NOT on the West side where the domestic airline Air Iceland is located. Unfortunately our address varies between GPS types but one of the following should work: Building 313 / Hangar 1 / Nauthólsvegur. Dates: Daily Return point: Returns to original departure point

Amazing! Expensive but worth it! Thetr were 6 passengers in all in the helicopter. 2 in the front and 4 in the back. We choose the landing one so after a stop on the mountain we all switched over. There was no bad seats really you could see it all. The ride was amazing over land and sea with amazing views then when he went up the mountain and stopped that was something else! Views were something else.

A leisurely stroll of 20 minutes from downtown. Our pilot (Max) was chatty, knowledgeable and friendly. Staff at reception were just lovely. Overall, a very nice experience. The views? Wow! Get it booked.

Amazing trip with Max who is a brilliant pilot and excellent guide. Was worried I’d feel nauseous. I had travel sickness pills and didn’t. The Mountain View is breath taking. We definitely would do another trip with Nordflug.
