Yes, you read that right! This is a pub crawl by Helicopter. We have offered this unique tour since 2007 and over the years it has evolved into the Heli Pub Crawl it is today. This tour is not just about the pubs. It will provide an amazing look at Darwin and surrounds from above, the harbour and coastline, tropical savannah woodlands, cathedral and magnetic termite mounds, billabongs and creeks. We arrive at iconic outback watering holes with a rock star landing in your very own helicopter. You will be sure to hear your fair share of tall tales and meet interesting critters, laid back locals and the charismatic publicans that define each of the establishments.

    Nestled on the water’s edge, Crab Claw Island Resort is a relaxing escape from the everyday. The complex has elevated cabins connected by walkways through the trees and palm gardens; refreshing swimming pools; an elevated open restaurant with views across the harbour; boat ramp; wildlife and natural beauty galore. Crab Claw’s “Island” restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving a wide selection of tasty, al a carte meals. The fully licensed bar holds a selection of wines, icy cold beers and soft drinks that will quench the thirst and cleanse the pallet of any weary traveller.

    More than just a place to drink. Darwin River Tavern is fast becoming the most recognizable and popular Tavern in the region. Situated on 120 acres, the panoramic views alone are enough to settle you in so you can enjoy our first class food and exceptional friendly service. 'Time Flies.' How to experience 7 hours of freefalling.

I have now done this trip in the dry season and wet season. My recommendation is the Wet Season tour. The greenness, vast waterways and abundance wildlife were exquisite, not to forget the icy cold beers at the friendly local watering holes. The experience was sensational.

Forget all your apprehension! This was without doubt the most wonderful experience ! I’m a nervous flyer so was quite concerned in a small tin buzz box…the act of being next to the pilot and seeing first hand the way in which the machines are flown has eased my nerves no end! The day is magical as you are ascending into bright open sky for the first time..,almost religious ! Our pilot Blake was a kind of Steve Irwin chap… affable, chatty , unnerved and convivial….his local knowledge made the story so much better and we all declared the day a total and undeniable success! 11/10! Thanks so much boys and girls!
