Overview

If you want to fit in all of the quintessential Top End activities into the one day then this is the tour for you! With a helicopter, airboat, cruise boat and crocodile safe swimming cafe there is no better way to experience the spectacular local wildlife and landscapes of the Litchfield region. Guests will see the majestic floodplains from above in a scenic helicopter flight and spot crocodiles, birds and even buffalo on a thrilling airboat ride through the channels and into the rainforest. Our cruise boat takes guests along Sweets Lagoon billabong for a slower pace perfect for birdwatching and taking pictures whilst tucking into a gourmet BBQ meal. We have Australia’s only nature-based croc safe pool where guests can take a dip and get face to face with a wild saltwater crocodile. The tour finishes off with an exciting feeding and exhibition with one of our rescue monster crocodiles caught by Matt Wright himself. Experience a once in a lifetime Top End day adventure with us!

Must do in the NT

My partner and I did the half day tour. The airboat was fantastic and a must do if in the NT. It gave a completely new perspective of the waterways and ecosystem. Awesome crew, very welcoming and lots of local knowledge and stories to share.

Great day trip!!! I have been in Darwin over a year working, brought my teenage kids and wife over to visit. We rated the day by these factors. Authenticity, value, and against what was promised vs other operators. Value - in comparison, a jet boat ride for 30 mins cost 4 x more than this whole day trip.. great value for money and the fact we got to eat a great bbq breky, catch fish, and float down an untouched waterway was magic ( thanks Jake, this dude was steering the boat cooking breky, fishing and entertaining us for the first 1.30hrs.. We drove out, just follow google maps !! Easy drive. Arrived 15 minutes before it started , met by friendly local staff, jump on the bus and drive 5 minutes down the track & get off near the jetty where a huge crocs sitting there ( Otis).. Split the visitors up into 2 groups. 1 x on big fishing boat 1 x on the V8 hovercraft Fed the huge crocs. Back to camp Beers, coffees, rest on the big deck or swim in the pool. They finish the day by rotating everyone on the helicopter scenic flight. Duration ( it says half a day tour but we drove from Darwin city 6.30am and got back around 3pm) It exceeded everything above. Authentic Top End local operators with real knowledge of the fauna, crocs, birds. You won’t find a better experience than this in the top end. It was awesome.

Best Day Tour Ever

This was by far one of the best day trips I have ever been on in my extensive travels. A jam packed day that was so relaxed, seamless from one adventure to the next, wow, wow, wow!!! great value for $$$Very informative, funny, fun, great breakfast and even cooked up the Barra my 12 year old caught for lunch. we will be back and next time for a sleep over.

Great day out! Amazing place to experience this beautiful Finniss River area. Staff are hard working, enthusiastic and love their work. Jake and Gaia his dog looked after us so well. Emily cooked us an amazing breakfast and was very attentive at all times. The charismatic Matt Wright was a wonderful host for the day and gave us a glimpse of life in Nature’s playground. Well organised and would definitely recommend this Top End Safari to all age groups.
