Experience 600 years of dark history - if you dare! The Hamburg Dungeon takes you on a journey through time into the city's past. Professional actors, terrifyingly true stories and dark characters bring the ‘bad old days’ back to life.

    The Hamburg Dungeon is a unique and exciting attraction that takes thrill-seekers into Hamburg's dark past. On a journey back in time to the bad old days, terrifyingly true stories and dark characters from the past are brought back to life. Professional actors, historical settings and costumes await you action-packed live shows. You'll experience the most horrible fun of your life! Meet the torturer, who welcomes suspicious villagers inside his Chamber of Torment. During the time of the Inquisition, defendants must confess their sins and the judge wants to hear all dirty details. Joint the crew on their misson to free the notorious pirate Klaus Störtebeker. The lucky survivors will take a seat in Hamburg’s unique freefall tower to escape – good luck… Not for the faint of heart, but for everyone aged 10 and over!

  • Not recommended for travelers with severe nerve conditions due to special effects, light effects and darkness

Good fun if enjoy dark and gruesome history

Great fun if you enjoy learning about the dark and gruesome history of Hamburg. But be aware that the whole thing is in German, so if you don't speak German, you will definitely not get the same experience. I would recommend buying tickets in advance too.

This was an amazing experience for me.and my son! The actors were very good and convincing. We did the english tour. The effects were also very good..they also offer you to skip some of the tours if you are easily scared.

Loved the experience. Went in not knowing what to expect and I loved that. We laughed and also were very impressed with the acting. Great time had by our entire group!

What a fun fun fun spectacle and performance art immersive theater! The set design was out of this world. Everyone was spooked, mostly except yours truly. The little rides and surpises were great :) Def reccomend.

I thought that for the price there was a lot; there was a lot of acting, There was a lot of history. There was many rooms in this tour and it lasted for quite some time. There were also two rides in the tour. I just felt it was really worth the money and that is not I think what we usually encounter these days so great job everybody at the Hamburg Dungeon!
