Overview

Welcome to a fascinating world! Scuba diving offers unique sensations that no other sport on the planet can give. Discover Scuba Diving is a half day program for beginners! You will start this program from the moment you decide to book! after booking you will receive a link for the eLearning product. This product contains all the information you need about the program. Your PADI instructors will help you to become familiar with your scuba gear and get ready for your first breath underwater. Before you know it you will be in our pool practicing a few simple skills and into the sea you go to enjoy your first open water dive. Your first dive will be at our training dive site Roman Wall. It is safe and easy, at a maximum depth of 6m with added features for your comfort such as a sloping descent line to the bottom. This is an underwater playground for all divers, find yourself surrounded by Roman Amphorae, old anchors and beautiful marine life such as octopus and green turtles.

Meeting points

We are located behind the Kato Paphos Papantoniou supermarket, for those driving. Or if you are walking along the sea front we are behind a restaurant called The Moorings.

Itinerary

Diving cannot be done less than 24 hours before a flight. All participants must be able to swim confidently. Join us for our 3 part experience- briefing, skills and open water dive! - The briefing includes all the information you need to know for a great dive. Including equalizing, hand signals and the skills which you will be doing and how your equipment works. - Jump in the pool and take your first breath underwater! Practice using the equipment and conquer the basic skills. Dive down to the deep end of our training pool to practice swimming around. - Head to our training dive site The Roman Wall and experience the amazing underwater world. Just a short walk from our dive centre this shore dive is the perfect place for beginner divers. Discover ancient Roman Amphorae, lost anchors and possibly green sea turtles (April-October)! Once your booking is confirmed you will receive a link from our team, this link allows you to access the Discover Scuba Diving eLearning product. (This must be complete prior to the activity!) After the dive your instructor will help you to fill in your first dive in the digital logbook! Go Pros and underwater camera are not allowed for safety reason.

Fantastic experience, Supportive staff

We had two wonderful dives with Cydive this holiday. Emma guided us through the Discover Diving course and was incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. We dived again two days later at Vera K with Damian and Emma. Again, both instructors were incredibly supportive and answered any questions that we had to help reassure any nerves. We had two wonderful dives, would definitely recommend, and will be back for more dives next year.

Wow what a day , fantastic briefing then session in pool , walked to sea in gear (loved that) then dived , clear sea , well planned route, back at base we watched our dive video then purchased , our instructors were amazing ,the best instructor I have ever been trained with by far, (Emma Healey) clear instructions throughout the day and dive , cannot recommend this enough , book your trip with these, we will be coming back to train upto to next level

Absolutely amazing! Our instructor emma was so patient but also good fun too and made the learning process much easier! Cathal took beautiful photos and a video which we jumped at the chance to buy. Couldn't recommend this place and the staff enough!!

I did the discover scuba diving course earlier today, It was a small group of 3 so felt very personalised teaching and felt we all got a great amount of advice, laughter etc individualised to us. I ended up doing it solo so buddied up with the amazing instructor, emma, She was super knowledgeable and very well awareness wise out of the water and in. It was one of the best experiences ever. I am a good swimmer generally and swim a lot where i live in the highlands of Scotland but never tried scuba diving. i was quite nervous in the sense i was so unfamiliar but was instantly welcomed and my confidence instantly spiked. Emma said i was a natural and should look into doing more dives, certificate etc. I am hoping to go on another dive before i head back to the UK special thanks to emma, marine and charlie for the photos. You are all awesome and hope to see you again! Joel

Amazing afternoon of diving with Emma and Pavlos. With a 44 year old refresher, 11 year old Discover Scuba and an 8 year old Bubblemaster, they kindly and patiently managed to merge all 3 giving us all the best day. Kids are now hooked and bugging us to book our next dives. Thank you CyDive, best memories
