Overview

We have the only private launch area on Anahulu River in Haleiwa with a gently sloping ramp into the calm river, the easiest and safest access to this beautiful place. We offer premium quality equipment, experienced and certified staff and instructions and excellent amenities.

Meeting points

Find us at the end of the Rainbow Bridge in Hale'iwa. You can park across the street from the Blue Planet Surf Shop on the gravel parking lot, go through the gate and head down to the riverside deck where we will help you launch. Please check the photos if you are not sure where to go.

Itinerary

2 hour paddleboard or single kayak rental (your choice), includes exclusive use of our private launch area with safe and easy water access, shower, quality equipment, life jacket on request, and basic instructions. Safely explore the Anahulu River and paddle into Haleiwa Bay from our beautiful launch area with a large deck, hot shower, and customer restroom.

Turtles galore!

Our kayak trip down the river was amazing! Thanks to Luke’s advice on the river we were able to see a ton of turtles. A must do day adventure if you’re visiting north shore.

We had a great time. One person in the group was a beginner and didn’t have any problems. We saw lots of turtles. Luke was a great teacher.

Beautiful place for paddle boarding. We saw lots of turtles and crabs. We had one person who had never paddled before, and Luke was very helpful in giving us a quick lesson.

Really wanted to do this and managed to squeeze it in on my last day, and so, so glad I did! Devon and Max were super helpful, kind and attentive — they managed to send out a big group as I was checking in with zero stress or wait time. Truly incredible combination of efficiency and care (as someone who has worked in hospitality!). I saw several turtles (including one swimming alongside the board for a bit) and overall 10/10 recommend.

Great SUP experience on the river today. Luke told us where to go, what to see, where to eat and took the best care of us. Saw lots of turtles! One almost hopped on my husband’s board!
