Explore the gorgeous beaches, islands and wildlife sanctuaries around Kailua Bay by kayak with your choice of a guided or self-guided tour. You can paddle to the Mokulua Islands or Popoia Island (Flat Island) to see bird sanctuaries, snorkel with green sea turtles at Lanikai Beach and enjoy incredible views from the water. Have time to relax on the beach and swim in the ocean as you discover the natural treasures of Oahu during this day in paradise. All kayak and snorkel equipment, lunch and free parking are included on this small-group tour.

Itinerary

Your Kailua Bay kayaking adventure starts with hotel pickup in Waikiki. A 30-minute drive brings you to the kayak shop at Kailua Bay where friendly staff outfit you with all the necessary equipment, including kayaks, life jackets, snorkel gear, dry bags and lockers. Receive a thorough safety briefing and kayaking instruction before you set out on the water. After kayaking, feel free to use the provided shower facilities and changing rooms before your driver returns you to your hotel in the mid-afternoon. All tours include full gear, lunch (see sample menu at the end of Itinerary section) and round-trip transportation from Waikiki. Choose one of the following guided or self-guided options:

Children 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in a double (tandem) kayak
The weight limit for a single-person kayak is 280lbs (127kg) and a double (tandem) kayak is 400lbs (181kg)

Customers must be able to transport kayaks to the beach (15 min) on a cart and drag over the sand. They weigh 70lbs.

Fantastic. Our group’s guide was Tupre and he was great. Engaging, he made sure everyone in the group felt taken care of and also was having a wonderful time. Explained everything clearly for the paddle, he also made sure our time on the island was informative and fun. Our group had a superb day and everyone left happy. Thoroughly recommend the company and if you’re lucky enough to end up with Tupre as your guide, even better.

The private kayak adventure was a once-in-a-lifetime, magical adventure that we would recommend to anyone. Because my partner was new to water adventures and was a little bit scared of kayaking and large oceans we booked a private guide so that we would be looked after as we paddled out to the island. Our guide was knowledgable, made us feel safe and secure all throughout the trip. I would recommend this agency to anyone!

We went to the flat island, it was easy to get to. Then we went for snorkeling to the nearby beach and saw many sea turtles.
