You will begin by exploring the National Mall to observe the United States Capitol, White House, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr., Memorial, and much more while passing by and learning about other significant landmarks. This tour operates year-round, rain or shine. The glass top, when closed, is completely waterproof and air-tight, so sudden weather or temperature changes are never a problem. For a unique experience, this tour offers a leisurely cruise on the Potomac River (seasonal: Apr 1 to Oct 15) in Georgetown in the warmer months, and during the fall/winter, we get to experience the Kennedy Center (seasonal: Oct 16 to Mar 31).

  • Convertible buses switch from open-tops to glass-tops between Oct 15 - Mar 15 due to colder temperatures.
  • The tour price includes a boat cruise, and tourists will have the opportunity to purchase lunch at one of several waterfront restaurants in the summer.
  • In off-peak season (Oct 16 – Mar 31), instead of boat cruise and Georgetown stop, we'll have lunch at Pentagon City Mall

We parked once and were able to tour more sights in 8-1/2 hours than if I had done it on my own, which would have taken two or more days. Nick, our tour guide, was informative, and Calvin, the driver, was entertaining. If this is your first time going to D.C., I suggest this tour.

Great tour of the main sights of Washington

As we only had one full day this tour was a great way to see the main sights and learn interesting facts about Washington. We were in one of the small glass top mini buses and water was provided throughout the tour. Our tour guide Evan was extremely knowledgeable and informative and managed to keep us engaged throughout despite everyone being soaked in the bucketing rain. Would say that the boat trip was a let down, recorded commentary one way and nothing on the return and no interaction with the crew. This should be dropped from the tour, it does not bring anything to the day. A great tour, a great guide in Evan and a shout out to driver John, highly recommend this tour.
