It's fascinating birth, its role in the battle, President Abraham Lincoln's visit to give his immortal address, a president who settled here, and so much more! Walk the streets of Gettysburg with an experienced licensed town guide. Group sizes are generally under ten for these tours. This tour complements the 1:00 p.m. tour (Danger & Courage). This tour covers the Northern End of town; the Civilian Experience covers the Southern End.

    Walk historic Gettysburg with a licensed town guide from the largest and most established guide company. Discover Gettysburg’s history and discover details of the town during the battle. Listen to the stories of the civilians, who felt the bullets whistle by, heard the piteous sobs of the wounded and smelled the dead as they decomposed in the July heat. Find out how many civilians were killed or wounded. Learn how fewer than 2,300 men, women and children cared for the 22,000 wounded soldiers who were left behind when the 2 armies moved on. Hear the memories of President Lincoln’s visit in Nov. 1863.

Awesome tour guide!

Bruce Davis was an awesome guide! He walked with us in the cold, windy weather and did not seem bothered by it at all. He knew a lot about the battle and Gettysburgs history in general. We loved this tour and would do it again!

This was a very informative walking tour. Our guide was Bill H. We couldn’t ask for a better guide. We learned so much and the guide was very enthusiastic and passionate about the rich history of Gettysburg. We did 3 other tours while we were there and this was by far my favorite one.

A fun and interesting tour

We enjoyed our walking tour. The guide seemed quite knowledgeable and told several stories about the different citizens of Gettysburg and what they endured during the battle. I especially liked the statue of Lincoln and the story behind it. I’d definitely recommend taking all of the tours you can fit into your visit.
