Overview

Visit the winegrowing center of the province, crossing Las Conchas gorge. The erosion has formed a succession of natural wonders such as The Devil's Throat, a deep and closed canyon. The Anfitheatre (with perfect natural acoustics), The Toad, The Friar, The Obelisk, The Castles. Little by little, the arid landscape is replaced by large areas of vineyards to reach one of the most shocking regions within the Calchaquíes Valleys: Cafayate, a city of one-story houses between colonial and baroque architecture from the late 19th century.

My friend and I did a tour to Cafayate in April 2025. This was an excellent day tour with Fabio! Not only Fabio was kind and fun since the very start of the tour and show us so much, he gave us great advice and recommendations for the rest of our trip in Salta and Jujuy. I truly recommend him for whenever u travel to salta.

This was an amazing trip. The scenery was stunning, the different landscapes were amazing and have to be seen to be believed. The stop off were all lovely and worthwhile. Raul, the guide, was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. He happily asked our questions and gave us lots of recommendations for other things to do with our time. Alberto was a great driver and we felt save in his hands on some very winding roads. I would definitely recommend this trip and agency.

Our experience with La Quebrada Turismo was fantastic from beginning to end. We had some difficulty getting to the meet up point in the morning of the tour, and thought that we would not be able to make the tour. However, Ximena, our tour guide, took extra care to ensure that we had a taxi and was willing to accommodate for us being late by picking us up at an alternative location along the route. The views at all the locations that we stopped at were beautiful and we got a really comprehensive visit of Salta. Ximena was extremely accommodating to all English and Spanish language levels as well, and made the tour both fun and educational. We are very happy that we took this tour with La Quebrada -- from the natural amphitheater to the several panoramic viewpoints to the winery to the city of Cafayate, every stop was well chosen and beautiful. La Quebrada put a lot of care into ensuring that we had a good experience -- highly recommend!! :)

Amazing full day tour

There are some physical travel agencies close the main square offering the same itinerary as this travel online site. The difference is (the physical ask for cash and on here you can pay with credit card and for me was the easiest way) I was afraid in not getting a nice service, however the experience was great. I can suggest they should contact the clients as soon as possible and providing the information needed because is a full day tour and plan ahead. In my case I had to contact the agency listed and then they send me the info after some hours of waiting. I am giving them five stars because the sprinter van was in a very nice conditions and well conserved, then Santiago the tour guy did his best speaking in English, he is very friendly and kind and the driver as well, they know very well the city and surrounding areas and they dropped you off at you hotel at the end of the tour. I enjoyed the city of Cafayate, the food, the wines, the roads, the landscapes and colors.
