This walking tour is the perfect experience to have an overview of Douro Valley. You will walk through the middle of the vineyards with stunning views over the Douro Valley and the River Douro with the opportunity to visit an olive oil museum with olive oil tasting. As others have said, PGW provided a stress free, high quality, hiking experience. Their pre-trip Zoom meeting was the tip off. They answered our questions and insured we were comfortable with their materials even before we left the US. The app and guide book were awesome. Like Google Maps, the GPS guidance nailed every turn, including getting to the start of the walk, and even turns deep into the vineyards. As just one of many examples of their thoughtfulness, PGW even included a spare external, back up battery for my phone! They easily accommodated a needed change in our itinerary, and helped with advice and arrangements. We've already highly recommended them to friends planning to go to Portugal. If we go to Portugal again we wouldn't hesitate to use PGW.

Heart and Soul of the Douro Valley

We had a wonderful PGW experience walking the Heart and Soul of the Douro Valley. The preparation work by the company was detailed and very easy to follow. Using the app to walk was essential. Hotels were terrific. Transportation support from beginning to end was timely and very comfortable. This is the third time we have traveled with PGW and we recommend them highly.
