Our tour continues with the Santa Claus Museum in Demre town centre. Originally built in 520 A.D., this interesting archeological building started its operation as a church, built in memory of St. Nicholas of Myra, a 4th-century patron saint.

This is quite a compact site with lots to see. A little uneven underfoot in places but then it is an ancient site. There are some lovely mosaics is good condition too.

Although the surrounding areas of the church are very touristy, the site is worth visiting. Very well kept and breathtaking frescoes.
