Overview

Experience the real French Quarter at Shrimp Boil Cabaret Step away from the tourist crowds and join us for a private dinner party celebrating the flavors and sounds of the Quarter. The Shrimp is sourced from local shrimping families at their boat docks a few hours before your shrimp boil to choose the largest, freshest, wild-caught local shrimp available. Mister Gregory, "The Shrimp Boil King of New Orleans" grew up in the Gulf South shrimping and boiling and advocating for wild-caught Gulf Shrimp and the "eat it to save it" culinary approach. Please join us for live local music and a lovely dinner party, make some new friends and eat the very best shrimp in the world.

We meet on the sidewalk in front of Grand Pre Bar. We leave at 7 pm sharp, please arrive early. To Go drinks can be purchased at the bar.

Itinerary

An Intimate Experience in the French Quarter, we are famous for our Shrimp Boils. Step away from the tourist crowds and join us for authentic local dishes and stories. Enjoy this opportunity to experience it as a VIP, with a small group and Mister Gregory himself preparing your meal. The dinner seating features a multi-course dinner, storytelling and LIVE MUSIC. The lunch seating includes a tasting menu and a chat with Mister Gregory about our fishery and food ways (NO LIVE MUSIC AT THE LUNCH SEATING). The Shrimp Boil Experience might begin with a tasting of fresh caught fish from Lake Pontchartrain or a local blue crab appetizer, then an alligator sausage tasting and a presentation about our wild-caught Gulf shrimp. The big moment is when we present the shrimp, cooked with corn and local sausage, and our special blend of Cajun boil seasonings. Later, we bring out hot towels to clean up and to finish we present a signature dessert and a tasting of New Orleans style chicory cafe au lait. Thanksgiving includes Shrimp Boil + Cajun Turkey, cornbread dressing and Mashed Boil Potatoes. Please join us for a lovely meal, make some new friends and eat the very best shrimp in the world!

Totally amazing experience.. did this in 2017 with husband.. returned with another couple and loved it again!! Anytime we are in NO we will make an effort to go back.

A New Orleans Family Dinner for Two (plus friends!)

An intimate family meal for 30 or so people warmly welcomed by our host & cook, Greg. He presented a variety of taster plates while giving us a brief history & description of each. Certainly provided a taste of authentic New Orleans! We were also entertained by the Delta Revues, a great local jazz band.

Greg was a very friendly host with great stories about the food ( which was delicious and plentiful ) A really great night, met some lovely fellow guests. Awesome jazz band , and did i say the food was fantastic.
