Enjoy a 2.0 hour Treasures of Florence Tour with our expert kid-friendly guide, who will show you the highlights of the city. You will meet her in Piazza Santa Croce by the Statue of Dante in the middle of the Square, and there your adventure will start! During this relaxed and informative walking tour you will see Piazza della Signoria, the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo (the city's cathedral) and much more besides. Our kid-friendly tour guide is specialized in working with children and will keep their attention and curiosity by using various games and other multimedia tools. At the end of the tour, you will take a walk over the medieval Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, and offer a gesture of goodwill to Il Porcellino, a little statue of a wild boar, for good luck. Just rub his nose to secure your return visit to Florence, city of beauty and wonder.

    The medieval Ponte Vecchio is the oldest bridge in Florence. You will listen to the curious story of this “stinky” bridge of old, and the kids will love it. In 1563 King Ferdinand I decreed that no butchers could set up shop along the bridge, due to the health hazards of rotting meat, so jewelers took their place.

Walking tour of Florence

We did a walking tour with Guilia with a group of 6 adults and 5 kids (ages 6-12). It was a fantastic experience. Guilia kept everyone engaged throughout, and everyone enjoyed the team trivia game as we saw the highlights of the city. It’s a great first thing to do in the city before diving deeper, with all of us coming away feeling like we had a much better understanding. I’ve done a handful of child friendly walking tours and this was among the best.

We were a family of 7, including 2 teenagers and 3 grandparents. I was looking for an easy and engaging tour for the family. Emilia was just perfect! Charming, friendly and very knowledgeable. We will definitely recommend for every family that comes to visit.

Florence for kids (and their parents too) - private tour creating a lifetime of memories

I wanted something special for our precocious history loving 7 year old. It was our first visit to Florence and we only had a few days. I explained our hopes to Carla, the booking manager, at Florence Tours with Kids and she said I have the perfect guide for you. We chose The Treasure of Florence tour and met Ilaria at 9AM at a prearranged location. Immediately, she introduced herself to our daughter (she was the main focus) and asked her about her interests and what she would like to learn more about Florence. We had no idea we would find a woman so warm and welcoming. Someone so clever about sharing age-appropriate and very cool secrets of this wonderful city. A bond was quickly formed! At times, our daughter felt anxious and Ilaria was able to quickly remedy this and gain her trust again. Ilaria is an amazing story teller and had a way of keeping our daughter (and her parents) engaged. I wish we had booked more time! We whole heartedly recommend Ilaria and Florence Tours with Kids!
