Go on an ice fishing expedition on a frozen lake outside North Pole. This is the ideal Fairbanks Alaska ice fishing experience as you will fish inside a heated cabin with electric! You will be warm and cozy as you fish through holes in the floor that go down to the ice. Sip hot cocoa as fish tug on your line. Experience this Alaskan tradition guided by a professional. My wife and I went and did the 10pm-3am ice fishing in the heated hut and FYI it gets toasty in there! Our guide Trevor was wicked awesome! There were 7 of us all together but the vibe was great and we had a-lot of laughs. When Trevor saw I hadn’t caught a fish while everyone else did, he was determined to land me a fish and took us outside to drill another hole. It was COLD out there but I ended being the only one landing a trout so it was worth it and delicious! Truly a great experience that we plan on doing again when we come back.

This was our first experience ice-fishing, and Cody took great care of us. He was available to help whenever any of us ran into problems (hitting the bottom or stuck lines) and let us switch between indoor and outdoor ice fishing if we wanted. We were provided water, hot cocoa, and reindeer sausages to keep our energy up. Cody was very friendly and great to converse with throughout, which made the time pass quickly. We were slightly hesitant about how good the fish would be with minimal seasoning, but it ended up being delicious (especially the trout)! While our family didn’t catch as much as we had hoped for, the experience was well-organized and enjoyable. Thanks for the heated cabin!!!
