We have prepared for you an exclusive aesthetic picnic with a taste of local products from the Valtellina and Valsassina valleys. Take a nice short walk in the forest while enjoying the views of all the famous places of Lake Como from above. Learn about the local producers and farms and their lives. Enjoy a photogenic venue, fully equipped for an unforgettable experience. Savor our lovingly selected and prepared fresh products: meat, cheese, fruits, vegetables, light snacks, water and wine.

Itinerary

We meet at the pier at the Hotel Olivedo in Varenna. We board the car that will take us up to the mountains. Travel time will be around 40 minutes. On the way you’ll be able to admire dramatic landscapes, half-abandoned churches, orchards and, of course, the lake. When we reach the parking place we leave the car and the guide will take us on a nice walk through the forest with panoramas of the water surface. The walk will take 20-30 minutes depending on the walking speed. Rising to the very foothills of the Alps, the views will finally open in all their glory. We now get to the picnic area, where you find everything ready for you, a light music in the background, an elegant atmosphere and a magnificent view. We will show you the products we have selected from local farmers and tell you where they come from and the stories behind these places, then leave you to enjoy the atmosphere! We guarantee you will take great photos! The total activity time will be 3 - 3.5 hours. Estimated end of the program: 15.00

Best ending to an already unforgettable honeymoon

Where do I start? It was perfect. Maria was a dream. Her knowledge of local and national history, introducing us to her favourite secret spot was so special! The location was breath taking, the picnic itself was truly incredible with local cheeses and breads and wines. My wife and I were on our final day of our honeymoon and we honestly couldn’t think of a better way to finish it than with a picnic in the alps hosted by Maria. Highly recommend to everyone and anyone for any occasion.

Absolutely fantastic! Maria, our guide was full of information and took us to a lovely location with breathtaking views. The food was abundant, fresh and delicious and wine scrumptious! We were very lucky with the weather, we had a great day. Highly recommend this tour.

The weather was questionable, and they worked with me. I really wanted to take this excursion, so they offered a different day and even offered a different location in Bellagio. In the end, the rain won out and I had to cancel. They promptly sent the refund.

I met wonderful people—ate/drank delicious cheeses, breads, fruit & experienced a five minute romance w/the local baker.
