Overview

Departure at the port of Abrigo de Sesimbra where we will then look for dolphins in their natural habitat. See Bottlenose Dolphins and Common Dolphins in the crystal blue waters of the Arrábida Natural Park, without disturbing their natural behavior. You will be accompanied by a marine biologist who will explain curious facts about these wonderful animals, such as eating habits, typical behaviors and interactions between the group of dolphins. Observe various forms of wildlife and different types of birds. At the end of the observation there will be the possibility to swim and sunbathe on one of the most beautiful beaches or bays in Portugal, accessible only by sea, and visit caves and rock formations along the coast of the natural park and hear the mysterious stories of the 18th century. that characterize the region with your local guide.

Great experience watching dolphins with a scientist on board.

Amazing experience! We saw many dolphins who also accompanied our boat. Catarina was a wonderful, very knowledgeable guide.

We had an amazing boat trip to watch dolphins, plus (to great surprise even for our expert biologist guide) a +2 meters tall swordfish jumping up from the sea near Sesimbra coast. Highly recommendable for all&sundry!

This was again another highlight for me in Portugal. Our guide was so informative. Not just about the dolphins but I’m interested in birds and she was able to teach me about them too! I brought my 9 year old daughter with me and she made sure she had a good place to view the dolphins. We ended up seeing a pod of about 100 dolphins, it was incredible. Would 100% recommend again.

Gorgeous dolphins and great hosting from Daydream

Great communication from Daydream as the wind that morning was much higher than expected, but they kept us in the loop via text as to whether the trip would be able to go ahead or not. Luckily it did and we were provided with jackets to keep us warm and slightly dry! Due to the wind and therefore choppy waves we got quite soaked but they were great providing a jacket for the youngest to try and keep her dry, and also adjusting our search to account for the weather and comfort of guests. We got to see some bottlenose dolphins and it was amazing. Daydream were really respectful of the dolphins getting the balance between us being able to see them, without disturbing and upsetting them. Great commentary and general guest inclusion from our host (Chantelle I think), especially made the kids feel special bringing them up front of the boat whilst we were stopped for a better look. Would definitely recommend

We loved the opportunity to be up close with a large family of dolphins, but the best part was the knowledge that our guide, Catarina , brought to the experience. Her background as a marine biologist made all the difference. Highly recommend!
