Overview

Are you passionate about mountains and would like to reach more demanding heights? Via Ferrata tracks run through a rocky terrain equipped with metal stepladder and wires which make the progression easier and fun. Dolomites are such a paradise for via ferrata tracks; here is where they were born! We have a choice of several tours and the track will be decided according to the participants' skills and desires.

Meeting points

The meeting point is purely indicative; it depends which track the tour will be led on and it will be decided the day before the activity (anyway 15/20mns. driving from Cortina town center usually).

End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

Itinerary

From the meeting point we will drive shortly to the parking lot; then we will reach the via ferrata by a walking approach. After a quick briefing, about the gear and the safety rules we must attend, we will learn the correct rope manoovers and climbing techniques.

A change in plans turned into an exhilarating experience!

What an exhilarating experience! Unfortunately it snowed very heavily during the week we were in the Dolomites (early-mid September) which seemed to even surprise the locals so we weren't able to do the Ferrata experience we were supposed to do due to safety, but our guide Alex brought us to a different mountain rifugio cinque torri up to a mountain top lodge and restaurant. We hiked most of the way but for certain sections were able to go through a tunnel inside the mountain which was built during WW1. Thankfully there was some via Ferrata paths for us to use which was really fun. I never felt unsafe and our guide Alex was extremely helpful the entire time.

Fantastic experience with a well equipped and experienced guide. Even with record breaking September snow, Enrico found a via ferrata suitable for beginners and went out of his way to take pictures and make us more comfortable.

My brother and I had a great experience with the via ferrata! Mara was our guide and she was very well prepared. I will be recommending this experience to any friends and family that are visiting the area. This is a unique activity that provided fantastic views over the valley.

Our guide was Enrico and he was wonderful. We have extensive hiking experience but this was our first Via Ferrata. At first we were disappointed when we saw that it was rated as “easy, but as it turns out, the one that he chose for us was challenging and perfect for our ability and lack of Via Ferrata experience. Enrico was patient and provided very good and helpful instructions. Would definitely recommend!

Mara was an incredible guide! We were beginners and she took us on a C graded via Ferrata. We felt safe and secure the entire trip. The terrain was fun and challenging at times! This was definitely the highlight of our time in the Dolomites.
