Overview

Come with me for a walk through the city center of Ghent and discover some interesting places. We stroll through interesting buildings - young and old - such as St. Bavo's Cathedral where the world famous Lamb of God is kept, the belfry with its dragon, the old port that was built in the Middle Ages, and so much more ... We discover the enormous tradition of 'the Burgundian way of life' with a large number of Flemish specialties such as the enormous range of beers, chocolate and of course the Belgian waffles!

I will meet you in front of the white statue in the middle of Sint-Baafsplein. We start with a general introduction to Ghent. Then we zoom in on the economic, political, cultural and religious history of the city: all four can be discovered on the square!
