Overview

Our tour departs from De Leon Springs State Park and travels west through Spring Garden Creek. Take in iconic views of Spring Garden Lake, Jones Island, and the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. The tour will be approximately 50 minutes in duration and will include narration on the history and natural resources of our waterway.

The Fountain of Youth Boat Tour departs four times daily, and journeys for 50 minutes through De Leon Springs State Park and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. The boat takes passengers on a relaxing trip filled with extraordinary close-contact experiences with the local wildlife. During their journey, guests will also learn about the area’s rich 6,000-year history, the spring’s “healing waters,” how the Fountain of Youth story originated, and the animals that call it home..

it was good value - nice education/good tour guide. We really enjoyed it . The tour guide spotted birds, turtles and alligators quickly. Was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and plants.

Beautiful park, amazing scenery. Our family ranging in age from 10 to 84 all had a wonderful time. We began at the Pancake house where we cooked our own pancakes customized with different add ins, favorite with the kiddos was chocolate chips. Each had their own spatula and loved the experience. You also cook your own eggs & French toast. Our family then took a scheduled boat tour. The lake is beautiful! The guide was very informative, pointing out species of birds, fish, alligators, trees, plants & we even saw a manatee! The guide also gave us the Native American history of the park which was very interesting. After the boat tour we dipped our feet in the chilly 72 degree Spring fed pond which was so refreshing. There were a few family enjoying the water. There were many picnic areas, a playground, fishing, and places to rent kayaks ( if you don’t mind paddling with the many alligators we saw!) Everyone in our group had a wonderful time, highly recommend & will return!

Lovely short ride with a genial, knowledgeable guide. Saw a variety of birds and a couple of alligators. We all loved it!

Florida bird tour.

The boat ride is great and our guide was very attentive and noticed every animal. There were mostly senior citizens on our trip but my nineteen year old grandsons enjoyed it too. We saw many alligators as well.
