Itinerary

  • Rhyolite

Depart Las Vegas at 7am for your day tour to Death Valley. Your first stop will be the ghost town of Rhyolite, at the entrance to the National Park. This long abandoned gold mining community has been used as the set for many movies and documentaries.

    35 minutes

  • Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes

Enjoy the views on an amazing drive down a beautiful winding highway and enter the center of Death Valley from the east; this is like entering a foreign and strange world of endless desert, vast valleys, harshly sculpted peaks and superbly adapted plants and animals formed over millions of years.

    25 minutes

  • Furnace Creek Visitor Center

Death Valley, the driest, hottest climate imaginable is an immense, wild land that man has never tamed. Capture the view of the valley from Hellā€™s Gate, well above the valley floor and then visit Badwater at 282 feet below sea level.

    30 minutes

  • Badwater

You will also enjoy views and stops at Zabriskieā€™s Point, the Devilā€™s Golf Course, the Furnace Creek Museum, the Salt Lake, the Sand Dunes and Artists Pallet. The majestic mountains, colorful canyons, volcanic craters and salt pinnacles all make this trip a photographic-sightseers dream come true. For the truly adventurous, this tour is offered your-round! We stop at all these locations for a little exploration and lots of photos.

    20 minutes

  • Artists Palette

You'll be amazed at beautiful drive thru Artists Palate and photo stops

    20 minutes

  • Devil's Golf Course

Discover how the salt panicles were formed at the the Devils Golf Course. This is part of the salt lake that became a very strange place indeed.

    15 minutes

  • Zabriskie Point

You'll love the views from Zabriskie's Point overlooking the valley. Take a small hike to see one of Death Valley's most inspiring views!

Vegas day trip

Published on Jan, 2025

Day drive from Las Vegas (about 2 hours), Gas up before you leave Vegas. Minimal to no cell phone coverage unless in Pahrump or Furnace Creek Visitor Center. DO NOT USE the bathroom at the pull over station, where you can pay for park entrance (you will regret it. The smell made me gag, and I almost threw up. I was still gagging for about five minutes after I exited the bathroom. Iā€™m a nurse and Iā€™ve endured a lot of gross things over the years, but the smell coming from this bathroom has topped the list). Wait and use the bathrooms at the furnace creek visitors station. It was about noon when we arrived. We did sand dunes, which is 30 minutes out from furnace creek visitor center. Then we turned around and headed back towards the visitor center and did Devils golf course, bad water basin, artistā€™s pallet (The second parking lot is more colorful than the first) and then Zabriskieā€™s point. By that time it was 4:30 pm and the sun was setting so we did not have time to go up to Danteā€™s View. Everywhere that we stopped was easy walking access from the parking lot. We went in January and temperature was 65 degrees Fahrenheit. If I had to do anything different (other than the bathroom experience), I probably wouldā€™ve allotted for one to two more hours worth of time in the park!

Great day and service with Art

Published on Jun, 2024

We loved the private tour ! Art was our guide and driver for the day. He is experienced, knowledgeable and very accommodating. It was one of the most memorable tours of my life.. also courtesy of the scenery. The vehicle was very comfortable and as we had a concert to attend at the Las Vegas sphere in the evening, Art made sure that we could see all the important things by not rushing and making recommendations on the pick up time and on the order of sites to visit. His preparation and knowledge on the job was vital as the Death Valley park had just reopened after the biggest flood in a century where only some roads were re-opened. We were able to navigate around the area without issues and be back on time for a shower a quick bite and be at the concert on time !

Excellent private tour of Death Valley

Published on Jun, 2024

We booked a private tour of Death Valley and were extremely satisfied! Dennis was a wonderful tour guide from start to finish. He picked us up at our Vegas hotel right on time and immediately provided us with breakfast and orange juice. His punctuality and hospitality set a positive tone for the day. Bathroom breaks were plentiful, which is always a concern when road tripping. Dennis was also a wealth of knowledge about the entire region, including its flora, fauna, and topography. He shared fascinating insights and stories throughout the day. One of the highlights was our visit to Rhyolite, an abandoned mining town that felt like stepping back in time. Dennis also took us to all the top spots in Death Valley, ensuring we didn't miss any of its stunning features. Throughout the tour, he was attentive, making sure we stayed hydrated, comfortable, and well-fed. Dennis's combination of professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for his guests made this day exceptional. We couldn't recommend this tour more highly!

Out of Nowhere Adventure @ Death Valley National Park

Published on Apr, 2024

We visited Death Valley during the summer, a time when the heat was intense but perfect for a road trip like this. We flew to Las Vegas and rented a van for the journey, which was an incredibly exciting time. As we drove out of the bustling city of Las Vegas into the desert, it felt like we were embarking on an 'out of nowhere' adventure. As we looked around, a vast desert stretched to the edge of the sky. There was nothing but land, mountains, a road, and the expansive sky. We could clearly understand why it was named Death Valley. Despite its harsh conditions, we discovered beauty and charm in this endless desert. The vast orange-brown landscape made us realize just how small we are as humans. We spent an entire day exploring the desert, which was a great experience. Surviving the heat and enjoying the moment of a lifetime amidst the greatness of Death Valley's nature.
