We turned up on spec and were able to join the afternoon trip. The staff were friendly and professional and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Andre was a brilliant guide with interesting facts about the area and a thrilling journey that was fast and exciting whilst always feeling safe.

We had a great time. The boat took us way up river and it was really cool going so fast over the shallow water. The scenery was spectacular and our guide was great! It was very helpful to have the bus pick us up and drop us off in town since the start of the trip is quite a ways out of town. I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone looking to get out on the river and experience nature at its best.

Great experience all around! The staff was very responsive to my online queries before the trip, including a refund for one member of my group, and were great once we got to the pick up point in Glenorchy (we did the self drive option). The boat driver (I don’t recall his name!) was very competent and attentive to the needs of the passengers while on the river. Some people were good with more spins and speed, others not so much, so he did a nice balancing act with the adventure stuff while also educating us on our surroundings. Pictures cannot fully capture the beauty and scale of the landscape, but seeing it from a boat on the river was a fun and memorable experience.

A brilliant experience flying up the valley and finding places of real peace and beauty. Our pilot Daniel was great fun and clearly passionate for the area. Exciting and enervating. A must-do for Queenstown!
