Overview

Enjoy a half or full day private tour with a driver/guide to any village or more places of your choice. This tour can be booked from any place in Amsterdam and also as a layover tour from the airport or your cruiseport. During the tour you can see or visit various windmills, do a cheese tasting and see how clogs are made. During the tulip season als the Keukenhof can be visited. Also the tiny fishing villages like Volendam and or Marken can be part of the tour which is fully customizable to your wishes. Have a fun day!

Itinerary

  • Dam Square

    This tour can be start at any location in and around Amsterdam or Schiphol airport. We will pick you up from your hotel or any given address. This tour is completely customizable to your wishes and your driver will be helpful in finding the best places to visit. Tour details bellow are all optional, many other intresting places on route can be visited as well.

  • Zaanse Schans

    At this open air museum we can visit various windmills and a clog factory. For some windmills there will; be a small admission fee since all windmills are operated by volunteers.

    Millions of bulb flowers can be seen at this famous park during spring time. (For 2025 it's open from March 20 - May 11th)

  • Volendam Haven

    An old historical and for sure picturesque harbour where it's best to try the fresh Haring, smoked eel or a sweet poffertje.

  • Marken

    A former island in the Marker lake, only reachable by car since the 50's. On this former island we can make a little walking tour, visit the local clog maker and/or visit the Marker museum.

Great 1/2 Day Adventure!

My family booked for a 1/2 tour around the outskirts of Amsterdam and it was a perfect tour! We stopped at three different locations: Windmills, Cheese tasting, and the harbor and it was so nice to see the countryside. Our tour guide was perfect, informative but not to lecturelike. We highly recommend!

We loved learning about the windmills and how many different types of wood were necessary to build them. Our guide was so knowledgable and able to answer our questions plus he took some great pictures for us that captured memories we'll cherish forever.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful tour of Amsterdam. We were so happy Viator asked if we wanted to upgrade to a full day tour but we were even happier about our guide Gueillermo! He made the day even better! After safely getting us to the Anne Frank Museum, he then recommended the canal tour which was just outside the Museum! Beautiful day to be on the canal! He was very knowledgeable of the city and got around easily which made for a great tour. Can't say enough about how the guide makes the day....and Gueillermo made our week! We're still talking about him!
