Come and have fun. Make two ceramic tiles, one for you and one for our community mural project. Visit our ceramics workshop, learn about ceramics and try. Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment. The opportunity to try your hand at this craft tradition will create memorable experience. The workshop includes sharing pottery decoration techniques and fun. Visiting and working in a professional ceramics studio is a unique experience. Our artisan ceramics workshop is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya. Wendy and her husband Eric are the founders of Taller Gingell. Reviewed as "a new generation of exceptional artisans"⁠ and highlighted as "artisan projects you should know in the fashion world"⁠⁠ according to Marie Claire, Condé Nast Traveller and others. Wendy’s exhibited her work in Europe and North America, including at the Smithsonian, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barcelona Design Museum and the American Craft Council craft shows.

Itinerary

Create your own ceramic tile. Come and have fun. Make two ceramic tiles, one for you and one for our community mural project. Visit our ceramics workshop, learn about ceramics and try it for yourself! Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment. What you’ll learn and what we’ll do. You will learn about ceramics, different clays and decoration techniques. Let the fun begin. Out come the aprons, clay and tools to get your hands dirty. Hands on, you will make and decorate two terracotta tiles. No need to bring anything special, we’ll have an apron ready for you. No prior ceramics experience is necessary. Your Finished Tiles. Ceramics take a bit of time to dry. So we offer two options if you are just visiting Barcelona: Option 1: About 1 to 2 weeks later your ceramic piece is ready to pick up or mail. Shipping is not included in the workshop price. We ship worldwide via DHL. Option 2: Just visiting Barcelona, can’t wait a few days? You can leave your two tiles for the community mosaic and select a finished tile made by Taller Gingell to take home as a memory. Are we close to the city centre? Yes. We're in the Poble-sec neighborhood.

A Unique and Memorable Experience in Barcelona

We recently attended this ceramic workshop as part of a stag party with a group of seven, and it was absolutely fantastic! We loved the idea that one of the two tiles we each created would be installed on a building facade in Barcelona, serving as a permanent reminder of this special weekend. The workshop leaders, Wendy and Eric, were amazing. They explained everything so clearly, making it easy for everyone to follow, even those with no prior experience in ceramics. Their enthusiasm and friendly approach created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We all had a great time getting creative and trying something new together. It was such a unique activity, and we couldn't recommend it enough for anyone looking to make lasting memories in Barcelona.

A wonderful experience among many ceramic workshops in Barcelona. Unique by the topic, social responsibility (we even made a small tile for the city of Barcelona which Eric and Wendy are collecting to make a design wall for the municipality of Barcelona). it is a creative and learning project, not just painting (as my experience with my others workshops). It was a beautiful gift for Christmas from my family!
