Overview

An exploration into Pelion’s gastronomy where travellers looking for authentic flavours, can learn the secrets of our local cuisine. Prepare a special meal and enjoy it on the beautiful balcony of our kitchen lab. We know that for most travellers, tasting authentic local food is at the top of their things-to-do list. To share our own love for all the special flavours of Pelion, we created a cooking experience made up of the recipes we love the most.

We'll meet you at our cooking lab, at Hotel Marabou in Chorefto.

Itinerary

Starting with a traditional welcome drink, this 3-hour experience takes place at our kitchen lab, which is located on a hill overlooking the beach of Chorefto. There, a local cook will guide you on a journey through some of the most authentic flavours of this part of Greece. In this session, you will learn how we make our creamy cheese “galotiri” and our ancient comfort food “trahana” and turn wild greens and eggs into a mouthwatering main course. You will also make the filling for zucchini flowers, a popular summer delicacy and finish off with a dessert pie made out of pumpkin. Whether you find that food is a great way to socialize, or simply love good food, “Pelion Flavours” is the ideal choice for you.

Greek Cooking for the Gods. Professional equipment, clear teaching by practice and example. Magnificent.

Deliciously pure soup, courgette flowers stuffed with rice and herbs and vegetables. Chicken Fricasse with Avro Limeni (egg and lemon sauce) hand made filo with pumpkin, raisins and walnuts and cinnamon….delicious. We had our own workstations and as much help as we needed To create a heavenly feast.

Great time for this cooking session with Katerina. You prepare 4 different dishes and after the cooking, you enjoy the food ! The location is also very nice, on a covered terrace with a panoramic view on the sea and the music of cicadas.
