Overview

The tour will begin with pick up from your hotel in Monteverde or Santa Elena, this is a unique experience for all coffee and chocolate lovers. The tour will continue through the coffee plantation accompanied by your English guide to learn about coffee and chocolate processing and production, from the cultivation and harvesting to the preparation of the final coffee and chocolate product. Our guide was so informative and had a great personality that kept the adults and kids interested. It was a highlight of our trip.

Take Home the Orange Chocolate

This was a fun morning excursion. We were picked up at our hotel and bussed to the Don Juan plantation. There, we learned about how coffee is produced and the process for making chocolate. The tour was very informative and the people were great. We even go a photo op with Don Juan, himself. The souvenir shop is full of great gift ideas to take home, but the dark orange chocolate was my favorite. Unfortunately, none of the chocolate made it back home since it was so good to eat in the evenings with a cup of tea.
