  • Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino

The Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino is an old hacienda located in Santa Marta, in northern Colombia. It occupies the house and some land of a 17th century hacienda dedicated to the production of rum, molasses, and panela. Simon Bolivar spent his last days there and died on December 17, 1830. It is located in the Mamatoco neighborhood. It houses the Altar of the Fatherland, a Museum of Contemporary Art, a botanical garden and the colonial facilities of the hacienda proper. This includes a forest bordering the Manzanares River. It is one of the biggest tourist attractions of Santa Marta and is managed by the Bolivarian Museum of Contemporary Art Foundation. Here we will stop to enter and take pictures

This statue is emblematic of the samarians for the importance of the greatest idol of Colombian football, samarian by birth and proud for his land. It is located in front of Eduardo Santos football stadium and arrived in the city in 2002, it is essential for tourists to visit the monument and take some photographs in it. The most representative of the Pibe Valderrama is its abundant and blonde hair, and in the statue of six meters made in bronze its hair is made strand by strand with a total of 3,500 pieces of bronze curled. It was sculpted by Amilkar Ariza who did not leave aside any details of the renowned footballer's face. Timetable

  • Bahia de Santa Marta

Known as the most beautiful Bay in America, this is one of the cityā€™s iconic beaches, located in the most important sector. In addition to enjoying the excellent weather with the breeze coming from the sea, you can walk the so-called Bolivar or Camillan walk that limits the city in front of the Caribbean Sea, also allows to relive the history of the city especially that of its founder Rodrigo de Bastidas. The view is even more immeasurable contemplating "El Morro", fortification that is located in this spectacular bay and that also has its own history, on the other hand is the Marina de Santa Marta, which allows bathers to have a range of restaurants with typical and gourmet foods, we make stops to take photos

  • Centro Historico de Santa Marta

For lovers of colonial history and architecture, this place retains the style and influence of Spanish architectural culture. It is also renowned for its interesting places to visit, such as Parque Bolivar where you can enjoy Colombian coffee from Juan ValdĆ©z located in this place, where you can sit and relax while reading a good book or having a delicious coffee. Also, just a few steps away you can visit the Gold Museum, characteristic for revealing interesting data of our indigenous ancestors and also the Library of the Bank of the Republic. Before arriving at the latter, I advise you to take a look at the beautiful backpacks woven by the indigenous people located just in the alley between these two aforementioned sites. The Historic Center is really spacious and beautiful, you can not leave without visiting, the MalecĆ³n de la Bahia popular for giving yourself amazing sunsets and the Cathedral of Santa Marta, there we stop
