Two parts to this review; the Distillery Tour and Tasting, and the actual products.
Mishka (sp?) is a wild and crazy Croat who is informative, engaging, and extremely funny for most senses of humor. Our tour was the final of the day before they had a big event off site. We easily spent over an hour going through the various offerings of rums and liquors. We had a blast in the tasting room. The tour was actually preceeded with an intro that was worked into the tasting, so when we went to see where the magic was made, it all made sense.
The product is exquisite. We ended up buying a sampler pack of 4 200ml that we chose for our taste. The liquors were also amazing. I'm not going to say anything other than both the Triple Sec and the Amaretto are easily to my taste buds absolutely peers to the top shelf versions, e.g. Gran Marnier and di Saronno.
We also bought a small rum cake for a celebration we had down island, and a bottle of pepper sauce for the kitchen back home. The cake was excellent, and the sauce is quickly disappearing.
Our small group of three was joined by a pair of sorority sisters. We met as strangers, but left as friends, bonded by a great tour and a great tasting!
