Caves Ambacia, 500 years of Loire Valley wine making history! Wine merchants since 1874, come and discover our 16th century troglodyte caves. The wine tour includes: 5 sens experience, cellars tours with Duhard wine collection, wine tasting class with 3 wines, including a wine form the collection. If you only have time for one wine tasting / tour in Amboise, this is the one!

I can't begin to quantify how many wine tasting experiences my wife and I have had over the years but I can state here this one is was far and away the best wine tasting / tour that I've ever participated in. It was an education as much as it was a tasting and if you are lucky enough to get Thomas, you will have a wonderful experience. Some of the tour you are semi-exploring on your own and the path leads you to the tasting room where wines are sampled and paired with wonderful cheeses. It turned out to just be the two of us for ours (we visited during a slower season) so I suspect bigger groups would take longer, but this isn't something you would need to plan an abundance of time for. It is very informative and at a pace that's not rushed but also not sluggish. We would do it all over again.

If you only have time for one wine tasting / tour in Amboise, this is the one!

A must visit!

This is repeat visit and is well worth it! There was no wine tour visit this time as we came here for their delicious meat and cheese board along with my personal favorite wine the 2022 Perrieres Amboise 2022 and tasted many other great wines. Jonathan was a gracious host and is highly recommended if you decide to do some wine tasting. It was great running into Tomas who was our wine tour guide on our last visit. Looking forward to the cases of wine being shipped to the USA and coming back once again!

Fun winery with delicious wine and also cheese (pared with the wine during the tasting). Very knowledgeable staff and an overall fun experience in the old caves! We liked the wine so much we had some shipped home!
