Itinerary

Cape Town Central

Our tour starts with a pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town and surrounding areas at 9:00am (flexible) on this private tour to Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins colony. We begin with a brief drive-by city orientation tour to see important monuments and building in the city centre.

Bo-kaap

From there we will stop in the Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter) for a photo opportunity with colorful houses, which carries great historical significance. You may even have a chance to greet some of the locals if they are in sight. Your tour guide will inform you about the colourful houses and their historical meaning.

Camps Bay

We take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Three Anchor Bay, Bantry Bay, Clifton and stop in Camps Bay. Maiden's Cove is the perfect spot for you to create memories with spectacular photos as you marvel at the magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach. This cove is one of the best places in Cape Town to take panoramic photos of the Ocean, Camps Bay Beach combined with the views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay, etc... We call this the Kodak moment.

Chapman's Peak Drive

Departing from Hout Bay, we drive along Chapman's Peak and stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. It is little wonder that Chapman's Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world.

Hout Bay

Travelling along the Atlantic scenic seaboard we will pass through Llandudno, famous for some of the most expensive real estate in South Africa, until we get to Hout Bay. Arrive at Hout Bay harbour, you will have the option to either take a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal Island to view the seals or you can do some shopping at the market.

Seal Island

Should you choose to take the optional boat trip to Seal Island, the duration will be 45-minutes. This excursion is weather-permitting. Please take along a light jersey because the temperatures tend to drop when we are at sea.

Noordhoek Farm Village

We continue our coastal journey with an optional stop in Noordhoek, with the breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach beneath us. Travelers will have the option to enjoy some of the best coffee brewed in Cape Town at the Village Roast for their own account.

Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room

An optional stop for wine tasting at the exquisite Cape Point Vineyards will be offered. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and views of the ocean in the distance, Cool breezes from the sea make for a slow-growing season, with a late harvest that results in a truly unique Sauvignon Blanc that is recognized across the globe for its rich minerality, structure, and tone. An optional sit-down lunch in their restaurant or a picnic lunch overlooking the man-made dam comes highly recommended.

Cape of Good Hope

We explore the Cape of Good Hope and take our iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope name board. Here we will also explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama monuments. There are also beautiful beaches that you will see along the way, as well as various fauna and flora.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse

From the Cape of Good Hope we will drive to Cape Point. Arriving at Cape Point we will have a choice between a 15-minute hike or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here we will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as the Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean, meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony

Our next stop will be the Penguins colony in Boulders beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins at close range. You may even find one or two of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.

Muizenberg Beach

Our return route is past Muizenberg where you will see the colored beach huts. The beach huts are used as changing rooms. These are reminiscent of the “bathing machine” of the 1800s, which was a cart-like structure that was wheeled down to the water’s edge, allowing the ladies to change into their bathing costumes.
Cape Town Central

Drop off will be back at guests' accommodation in Cape Town at approximately 18:00 pm.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ibby, our tour guide. He was so passionate and knowledgeable that we not only saw all the stunning sites, we all leaned so much more about the history and culture of the country. We were a little short for time so Ibby tailored our tour to maximize our experience. My 10 year old daughter loved every moment and also gives a big thumbs up and 5 stars all the way!

Exceptional Private Cape Town Tour

Our guide, Alfani, was knowledgable and engaging. We started off with a walk around Bo-Kaap, a colorful community that displays a lot of pride and tradition. We then set off to Camps Bay an area with beautiful shoreline, great restaurants and shops. The mountain tops you see above Camps Bay are known as the 12 Apostles. Next stop was Houts Bay with views of The Sentinel, a mountain considered the protecter of the community behind it. We enjoyed The Cape of Good Hope, and climbing to the Cape Lighthouse. While in the park we saw Baboon, wild Ostridge and an Eland (antelope). The tour was topped off with a final stop at Boulder Beach park and Penquin Beach. We saw so many penquins, and a Docy which is a very inquisitive rodent. A long day full of amazing sites and history.

This tour was amazing. We saw everything. Had lunch at a cool place Black Marlin. Beautiful views. Great food and service. Melody was our server. She was wonderful. Our tour group was about 10 and we all loved our food.kingklip a must.. Our guide Morne Gordon was AMAZING!!! Kind, awesome, thoughtful, Knowledgeable. Spoke perfectly English. Great energy. . Great comfortable van with Air-condition. Our Guide did not rush us. Made sure we saw everything. Highly recommend. Two thumbs up. I would recommend this tour to ALL my friends, family and clients. I traveled solo and felt very safe and comfortable. I also ran into travelers on same tour that was going to sail on Regent Seven Seas the very next day same as I so that was fun and the live in the same state as me California. Small world Icing on the cake. We had a great day.Thank you for making my bucketlist trip a great one.
