Absolutely Amazing Five Star service. Highly Recommend BlueWater Express. Totally professional, very well organized, and right on time. The staff get 5 Star Plus for managing the entire trip so well. We chose this company for our trip to Gili T and this company made our trip worthwhile. From online booking to beforehand communication, to hotel pickup, check-in at counter, luggage handling, boat boarding, boat seating, boat journey, and disembarkation was all top notch. This is a detailed review covering all aspects of the journey for those who want a detailed and authentic experience review:
Online Booking: The best way is to book from their website directly. It has discounted rates and accurate timing. We booked from the website and added all the information including passport numbers, the WhatsApp contact number, and the Hotel in Gili T. By doing this our check in took less than a minute.
Hotel Pick Up: to avoid any early morning hassle, we booked the travel directly with Blue water. This came in very handy. One day before our travel the company reached out and shared the drive name and phone number. The driver reached exactly at the pick up time of 6 AM and was a wonderful person and a very safe driver, while the vehicle was a mini van for 2 people. They only provide private pickups through the website.
Communication: The Bluewater Express directly contacted me on my website one day before our trip. They answered all my queries and provided all the necessary information. Right after booking only I also received the ticket and payment receipt.
Check In at Pier: The driver brought us to the pier and handled all the luggage himself. As soon as we got off the car a staff member took our luggage and placed it at a central place. Then we proceeded to the check in counter, where we were immediately handed out boarding pass and our tickets with the port fees for both Padang Bay and Gili T along with our luggage tag for our checked baggage.
Luggage Handling: The luggage was handled properly. Once luggage tags were added, they loaded the luggage on a small loading vehicle and carried it to the boat. The luggage was stored in a covered compartment on the front of the board. Once we disembarked at Gili the luggage was handed directly to us. It only had small traces of moisture on it.
Boarding and Disembarkation: They walked us to the boat from the check in counter. A queue was made, while priority boarding was provided to elderly and families with young children. Once we entered the boat we were handed over a small bottle of water and ushered to our seat. Similarly no chaos at disembarkation and the entire process was very smooth.
Boat Seating: The seats were very comfortable and had enough leg space. The seats seemed very new as they were super clean, while the padding was firm also indicating they were new. The AC was very chilly and everyone closed their overhead vents to avoid getting cold. It was a sunny day and with closed windows the overall AC had made the cabin very comfortable.
The Journey: Upon boarding the boat, a full tutorial in English was provided regarding the safety features of the boat and how to use them, along with instructions on what to do and what not to do during the journey. No matter how much of it was true, but the information was definitely assuring. The sea was calm for most parts but there were some huge jumps here and there during the 90 minute journey from Pedang Bay to Gili T. The boat left 10 minutes before scheduled time and arrived at the scheduled time. What’s best is that they provide information and guidance in clear English through pre-recorded messages at each step of the journey.
