  • Plaka (Pass By)

    Cycling through the most picturesque neighborhood of Athens Plaka, is a great way to start the tour to the coast.

  • Roman Agora

    We make our first small stop at a beautiful location overlooking to the ruins of the Roman Agora of Athens, seeing monuments like the Tower of the Winds which is considered as the world's first meteorological station, the Gate of Athena Archegetis and the Fetiye Mosque.

    Admire the Tower of the Winds, this spectacular octagonal building that was a meteorological station in the roman times.

    While you are admiring the buildings of the Roman Agora you will also notice the impressive Fethiye Mosque surviving from the Ottoman times.

  • Ancient Agora of Athens

    We continue our ride through the ancient path that crosses the Ancient Agora of Athens, the administration and commercial center and the heart of the ancient city of Athens. There you can see among others the Byzantine Church of the Holy Apostles, the Temple of Hephaestus and the Stoa of Attalos.

    We cross the limits of the ancient city, passing the Keramikos Archaeological Site that includes ruins of the potter's quarter of ancient Athens, the ancient Keramikos Cemetery and the ancient walls of the city.

Loved it! I have done many bike tours around the world and this ranks as one of my favourite. I was lucky to have Kostas who was a friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who prioritises safety and enjoyment and was great company. I thoroughly enjoyed the Athens City and Sea bike tour as it was nice to get away from city traffic and experience the Athens Riviera which is beautiful and peaceful in the winter sunshine as well as get some exercise, great viewpoints and a few extra sights along the way. The cycling is mostly flat so if you are of average fitness, you will be fine and it will definitely be a highlight of your trip. Highly recommended, especially if Kostas is leading it.! Yinsan.

Sun,sea, sand and cycling through the ages

Marios went out of his way to make this tour truly special. As someone who has lived and worked in Athens over many years I learned some fascinating facts about the city and got to see some new highlights as well as reliving some old haunts. Marios put everything in perspective in a lively and entertaining way and made sure we were all safe as we negotiated the Athens bike lanes. It was a glorious day in late November but this ride offers a great mix of locations for all seasons. If you are keen to gain an insight into modern Athenian life in perspective with ancient history and take a look at the future of this iconic city then this tour is ideal. I would recommend it for locals and regular visitors along with anyone with a little more time in Athens as the perfect combination of exercise and education with time at one of the now sparkling stretches of coastline on the riviera.

A great ride to the sea

I was surprised when the ride went ahead, as I was the only guest. That tells you something about this company. Marios was great company striking the right balance between keeping things interesting and having a quality ride. The route through Athens was interesting and the destination was beautiful. It was a gorgeous day. The bike was clearly well maintained, the treats delicious and the whole experience was one I'd highly recommend.
