This was hands down the best way to see San Fran! It started with an early morning drop off to Muir Woods. Literally perfect because not a lot of tours will do early-bird escapes! A stop at the Golden Gate Bridge to potty and take a friend-portrait was literal PERFECTION, no need for us to find another time slot to see the bridge. The drive to Muir Woods is tight, but James handled all the curves with such precision and skill it was amazing. The van is a luxury van and very comfortable and spacious. James was engaging, funny, and knowledgeable! I never knew that I needed to see Muir Woods until after this tour! The site tells you to breathe in the air amongst all the trees, and it's like you can literally taste the freshness. Although it started to rain slightly when we got there (which the weather forecast did not predict), we asked the check in crew at the park if we should buy ponchos. They said no, the trees would be a natural cover. And they were right! We stayed dry and had such an amazing time in the woods. It was beautiful! The best part was when we were leaving, the parking lot was abuzz with tour busses and noise, I could not have been happier to see the forest in it's natural state with such few people to really soak it in. This alone would be worth the price. But the fun didn't stop there, after Muir Woods we were given a dining credit to a little bistro in Sausalito where the staff was so sweet and amazing. How can you be mad with discounted breakfast?! We also were provided a ticket to take the Ferry back to San Fran. At this point we got breathtaking views of the bridge, the bay, and the city. Literally, it could be it's own separate ticket of an adventure! If that wasn't enough to cap off the trip, we landed right back on Fisherman's Wharf and headed to Pier 39, where we did our Alcatraz tour. I cannot express the amazement I had in learning about the prison! All of the history and amount of people who have been through their doors. It was just an amazing experience. We packed some snacks to eat along the way, in case we were hungry, as well as water bottles. It was such an amazing day. The best part was after a small nap at the hotel, we still had the entire night to go out and explore! I am so happy we got to experience this!
