Overview

Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the National ANZAC Centre and Heritage Park. Your guide will accompany you as you walk through Albany’s historic precinct and view Middleton Beach from the promenade.   The history of the Great Southern region is revealed in stories during your guided tour at Mount Clarence and the Padre White Lookout. This is a very interesting place, especially if you’re interested in the history of the Anzacs beautiful views of King George Sound and Princess Royal Harbour

A private tour!

We were the only people on the tour that afternoon, and Lawrence collected us from our accommodation. His local knowledge (and, by the sound of it, extensive local connections) made the tour fascinating and very informative, with some behind-the-scenes insights that don't usually crop up on such occasions. Then National ANAC Centre so very well done incredible to travel through the life of one on the brave young men setting out in ships from their homeland in the town of Albany to go to war in a country so far away. So very sad and so many never made it back home to Australia. Heritage Park was fantastic a must to see when you visit the beautiful town of Albany.

Great Tour!

We took the Albany History and Highlights half-day tour which included the sights of Albany plus a visit to the National ANZAC Center. This was especially significant as we were there on November 11, the 99th anniversary of the end of WWI. We had a tour of the town, visited the Patrick Taylor Cottage, the oldest dwelling in Western Australia, stopped at the beach for tea and then the museum. Highly recommend this tour as you can't see too much of the area by just taking the shuttle into town. Timing worked out well with our cruise ship window of time.
