LALBAGH WALK Lalbagh, the Red Garden, is one of Bangalore's oldest parks, commissioned and completed by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan on the lines of Mughal Gardens of the time. Walk past the trees, the lake, and birds of Lalbagh with us, reliving our ancestors' imagination. CUBBON PARK WALK Stroll through this verdant lung space and learn of a Victorian era when people commuted on horseback or on foot and danced in the ballrooms of Parade road. Join us on the Cubbon Park walk to see the other side of Bangalore.

Bengaluru or Bangalore, it's one city and one great trip through its colonial past. I am ashamed to say that despite calling this city my home between 2003 and 2010, much of this tour was charting new ground for me. That I didn't make more effort at the time was compensated by my excellent guide, Reha, who took us through Cubbon Park, via St Mark's Cathedral and then into Fraser Town. A super day out, and recommended. Cubbon Park is a joy, particularly early in the morning when the crowds are still asleep.

We had an exciting & wonderful morning walk at Lalbagh botanical Garden guided by Ms Vidya Nilakantan our heritage & nature guide based at Bangalore. Thank to my classmate Dr Prathima Radhakrishnan as she arranged this lovely morning walk. We were accompanied by our another classmate Ms Kumud Singh and we all have enjoyed this walk very much as Vidya could explain so nicely the historical and the background of this botanical Garden right from its early days to the present one. The knowledge she had was superb and we could partly pick up from her and were memerised with the information she gave about this Garden and other vital information about Bangalore and Karnataka. We highly recommend all the nature lovers to take up this lovely walk as you reach Bengaluru or you plan to be in Bengaluru next time.
