Overview

The Zugspitze is Germany's tallest peak and home to a stunning view of five countries, a glacier, a border between Austria and Germany, and an amazing cable car ride that brings you to the peak in under ten minutes. This tour is a stress free way to learn about the unique history of the mountain, engineering, and environment of an Alpine peak that is just under ten thousand feet. Our guides have been bringing people to the Zugspitze for over nine years and will be there every step of the tour showing you the amazing views, history, and fun of Germany's tallest mountain.

Meeting points

We meet at the central train station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen just inside the main lobby next to the small coffee shop.

Itinerary

  • Zugspitze

    using the newly built cable car we will make our way to the peak of Germany for a full three hour tour of the peak, the glacier, the facilitates, and more.

  • Ludwigstrasse

    After we are finished with the peak of Germany we love to make our way into downtown Partenkirchen for a tour of the famous Ludwigstrasse and our favorite chocolate shop!

  • Garmisch-Partenkirchen

    We love to stop at my favorite chocolate shop for samples!

Jim was fantastic, you couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. He has an incredible knowledge of the area's history and general knowledge. He was very accommodating and if we had any things that we particularly wanted to see he insured that we saw or did them. He made suggestions of beautiful photos to take and fun photos to do. From the time that the tour company contacted us they were helpful and kept in contact with us, using whatsapp or email for contact with us. We highly recommend this tour to anyone. An excellent tour.
