    The Kusadasi Kervansaray, also known as Öküz Mehmed Pasha Caravanserai, is a beautifully preserved example of Ottoman architecture in the heart of Kusadasi, a popular coastal town in Turkey's Aydin province. Constructed in the early 17th century by the Ottoman governor (or vizier) Öküz Mehmed Pasha, it served as a secure resting place for merchants and travelers along the caravan routes, hence the name "caravanserai". Today, step into this fortress-like structure and transport yourself back to a time when Kusadasi was a bustling port of trade. The Kusadasi Kervansaray's sturdy walls and distinctive Ottoman design make it a standout historical attraction. The structure is built around a large central courtyard, a typical feature of caravanserais, where goods would have been traded and stories from the road shared.
