Overview

PLEASE ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE TOUR DEPARTURE TIME. This CDN Heritage Vessel underwent an 8 yr, $1M renovation to become North America's LARGEST solar-powered vessel & the world's FIRST solar-powered dinner cruise boat, now providing daily tours which cannot be done anywhere else on the planet. No emissions. No noise. No smell. This is "tourism refined". Instead of a loud, smelly diesel-powered tour, enjoy local beer & wine and fresh seafood right on board during your tour. Beautiful, slow, relaxing sights in the SHELTERED WATERS of Charlottetown Harbour in a comfortable covered boat with large windows by every seat & opening roof hatches to catch the sun. This historical sight-seeing tour is supported by live guided commentary, WiFi, 4 video screens, French & Italian subtitles, trivia with prizes & more! Large bathroom & booth seating for your comfort. Lots of room to walk around & explore the facinating 1967 Montreal Expo memorabilia, from which our boat was created!

Itinerary

  • Charlottetown (Pass By)

Our captain will give you a brief history of the Charlottetown Harbour - the "Cradle of Confederation" when Canada first became a country, the Mi'kmaq who first settled the province, as well as a bit about the Charlottetown Harbour itself.

  • Victoria Park (Pass By)

The Isola Solaretto will pass silently by beautiful Victoria Park, where you can see the cannons & armaments of this historic fort.

  • Port-la-Joye - Fort Amherst (Pass By)

You will see the entrance to Charlottetown Harbour and famous Port-la-Joye (Fort Amherst) at Rocky Point.

  • Government House (Pass By)

Here you will see the "Birthplace of Canada" where the colonies Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia & New Brunswick met for the first time in 1864 to determine that Canada would become a country.

  • Stratford (Pass By)

Your captain will take you by several multi-million dollar houses, including a $15M home to show you some "rock armouring" for shoreline protection gone wrong. PEI is losing about 1 ft of shoreline every year and there is a right way & a wrong way to protect it.

  • Peake's Wharf (Pass By)

View Peake's Wharf in front of St. Dunstan's Basilica - home of the famous Cow's Ice Cream ranked the #1 ice cream in the world!

  • St. Dunstan's Basilica (Pass By)

Learn about the tallest structure in Charlottetown - The St. Dunstan's Basilica, which is one of 27 designated Basilica's in Canada and a National Historic Site.
