Overview

The Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic views on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. The majority of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using Lemosho route and their feedback to this route is excellent. We highly recommend Lemosho route to our clients. The climb begins at Londorossi Gate at an altitude of 2360 metres, with an western approach. It then circles around Kilimanjaro to the south, passing through majestic rainforest, home to some of the region’s most unique wildlife. The route continues up to Shira Ridge; the mountain’s third summit Our Main focus is your safety, meaning that our top priority is to keep you out of harm’s way. Our guides perform regular health checks on all climbers, and they are ready to detect, and treat altitude sickness.

Everything was perfect with Nafika Tours

Nafika Tours is truly the best choice for anyone looking to climb Mount Kilimanjaro or go on a safari adventure! I recently completed the 8-day Lemosho route with them, and the entire experience was absolutely amazing. Our guides, Alyce and Stive, along with the team of porters, were so kind, professional, and helpful. They made the whole journey smooth and enjoyable. Every day when we arrived at camp, everything was perfectly prepared, our tents were set up, water for washing was ready, and delicious meals were waiting for us. Their motto, “Non stop - pole pole to the Top,” it’s how they take care of you the entire way, making sure you stay safe and properly acclimatized. The food and equipment provided were excellent, and the whole team truly went above and beyond to make the trip more special. I highly recommend Nafika Tours for your Kilimanjaro trek you will be in the best hands!

We climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2025 using the Lemosho route over 8 days, and the entire trip was perfectly organized by Nafika Tours. From the moment we booked the trip, everything went smoothly. Our guide, Meshakii, was absolutely amazing he took care of every detail, made us feel safe the whole time, and impressed us with his deep knowledge of nature and mountain safety. Our cook, Anold, was truly outstanding. Every day he surprised us with three delicious hot meals that looked as beautiful as they tasted definitely 5-star quality! Most importantly, everything was very clean, and none of us had any stomach issues throughout the journey. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the 8 wonderful porters. They were always cheerful, incredibly strong, helpful, and kind. They reached each camp ahead of us with a smile, set up our tents in the perfect spots, and made sure everything was ready when we arrived. The tents were of good quality, and the sleeping bags provided by Nafika Tours kept us warm and comfortable every night on the mountain. The entire team supported and encouraged us every step of the way, especially on summit day. Thanks to them, we reached the top Uhuru Peak! This was truly the trip of a lifetime, and we can highly recommend this local Nafika Tours, our guide Meshakii, cook Anold, and all the amazing porters. Without them, we couldn’t have made it to the summit.

Kilimanjaro climb and Tanzania safari

We booked the 8-day Kilimanjaro climb via the Lemosho Route with Nafika Tours, and it was an amazing experience! Our guides, Inocent and Musa , were simply wonderful. They were always there for us, checking how we were feeling, sharing interesting facts about Kilimanjaro, the nature around us, and even making us laugh. They were very caring and moved at our pace, which made the journey even more enjoyable. The rest of the team the cook, waiter, and porters were all incredibly kind and helpful. The food was delicious and different every day, and the tents and sleeping mats were in great shape, so we were always comfortable. Everything was organized really well, and we felt taken care of the entire time. After the climb, we went on a 5-day safari, and that was just as perfect! Our guide was great, the places we stayed were lovely, and we got to see so many animals, even the Big Five! We truly had a fantastic time and can warmly recommend Nafika Tours to anyone thinking about doing a Kilimanjaro climb or safari

Kilimanjaro Summit Success with Nafika!!

Would 100% recommend booking with Elias and trekking Kilimanjaro with Nafika! Three siblings and Dad, celebrating his 69th birthday, summited Kilimanjaro on 10 March via the 8 day Lemosho route. The Nafika team was amazing from start to finish. Guides Innocent and Declan were unwavering in their support to get us to Uhuru Peak! Food was fantastic, and we were continuously surprised and delighted at the meals that Chef Priver managed to prepare for us on the mountain. He even baked a delicious birthday cake and we all enjoyed celebrations at Shira 1 Camp. The whole team was friendly and kind and we were so well cared for! We had health checks every evening (including pulse oximeter readings) to ensure we were all on track with adjusting to the altitude. The porters are super-humans! Tents were comfortable, sleeping bags snug and warm - used our own as well as Nafika's (& we each brought along our own travel-sized memory foam pillow!), private loo was a win and definitely recommend! Oh so happy to have climbed this mountain!!! The summit was worth every challenging step!! Due to a change in flight schedule we had an extra two days to spend, after our Trek. Elias quickly came back to us with a plan to see Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater - Our driver guide Ronald was great, and it was the cherry on top to visit these two reserves before departing Tanzania! Tarangire was absolutely beautiful with lush green grass, tall baobabs, moody skies and the odd downpour. The Ngorongoro Crater was an incredible natural wonder to visit and we enjoyed making our way through herds of zebra and wildebeest!! Enjoyed fantastic birding at both! Thank you Nafika!!

Kilimanjaro climbing lemosho Route and 3 Days Safari.

I just returned from my trip, and it was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. The guides and porters were incredibly kind and helpful, always putting our safety first it was clear how much they cared. All six climbers in our group successfully reached the summit on the 8-day Lemosho route! Elias planned my Kilimanjaro trip, and he was absolutely fantastic professional, thoughtful, and always quick to respond. The staff on our trek were so warm and kind, making the journey even more special. The food was beyond amazing, exceeding all our expectations! As a vegetarian (with a vegan in our group), we knew we wouldn’t be the easiest to accommodate, but they made sure we were well taken care of. Our guides were not only highly experienced and knowledgeable but also fun and encouraging. Thanks to their support, we all made it to the summit! I rented trekking poles and a sleeping bag from Nafika Tours, and both were in excellent condition. After the trek, I went on a 3-day safari, which was absolutely incredible. My guide Ronald was fantastic, and I saw more animals than I ever imagined. The hotels and food were also amazing. Nafika Tours deserves five stars all the way , Best experience of my life.
