Nights are spent in beds in the refuges, and are included in the package price, and include bed linen and towels. Therefore, you don't need to carry as much weight in your backpack, which makes this journey accessible to most people who are in good physical condition. In terms of equipment, the essentials are a minimum 40L backpack and trail shoes with good grip.
