Overview

This is an Interactive Sailing Experience on San Francisco Bay with a maximum 6 passengers on a private yacht with a USCG licensed captain and crew where you'll sail beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, across the San Francisco waterfront, get a close-up look at Alcatraz and Angel Islands. This Sailing Experience is "interactive" which means we want you to get the full experience of sailing so you'll have an opportunity to take the wheel and sail your course.. It's all part of an unforgettable sailing experience you wont get anywhere else.. You will see and be able to photograph beautiful scenery and may also experience a close encounter with some of the local wildlife that calls the bay home. Sailing SF Bay Experiences are aimed at creating lifelong memories for you while showcasing the beauty and diversity of our area.

Meeting points

Our meeting point is in front of the YELLOW FERRY DOCK parking area. we will meet you in the parking area. *Please plan to arrive 15-20 Minutes early.

Itinerary

Golden Gate Bridge (Pass By)

When we leave our dock we'll head south down the Richardson Bay Channel passing the famous Sausalito floating homes the California Taj Mahal and downtown Sausalito. Then straight to the Golden Gate Bridge for some spectacular photos.
San Francisco (Pass By)

After sailing past the Golden Gate Bridge we'll head toward San Francisco and sail past the infamous Alcatraz Island and you'll get a close-up look of the "Rock". We'll sail across the San Francisco Waterfront and get some great photos with the city skyline as our backdrop. including some of the iconic San Francisco Downtown Landmarks like the Trans-America Pyramid and Coit Tower.
San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge (Pass By)

If time allows we might make this a two bridge sail as we aim for the Bay Bridge and sail past Alcatraz on one side and the San Francisco waterfront and piers on the other
Angel Island State Park (Pass By)

You'll sail past Angel Island and Tiburon as we head back toward Sausalito and utimately our home dock.
Sausalito (Pass By)

We'll sail past downtown Sausalito and the famous floating hoes as we head back to our dock and the end of a great day on the bay!

We had an incredible sailing experience with Will, and we can’t recommend him enough! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable. Will is not only highly experienced but also patient and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. He took the time to teach us the basics of sailing, making it fun and engaging without ever feeling rushed. It was my wife’s birthday, and Will’s thoughtful touches and great sense of humor truly made the day feel extra special. He kept us laughing the entire time, ensuring we felt both comfortable and safe throughout the trip. Beyond being an exceptional sailor, Will is also an amazing photographer! He captured some stunning photos that we’ll treasure forever. This was totally sailing. Everyone had the opportunity to participate in crewing the boat - but I got the lion’s share at the helm. Everyone enjoyed themselves and Will, the captain, was great. We’ll be coming back.

The sailing experience for two recreational boaters was fantastic . Our captain made us feel at home from the start ; from greeting us at the dock and walking us through the basics , to letting us feel a part of the crew. He gave us the option of the full sailing experience and also let us just be a part of the ride, tranquility with the water, and the wind . Being in the water identifying sea lions dolphins and seals was amazing . There is nothing like coming to a stand still on the bay, watching the sun behind the golden d gate bridge and feeling alive . Thank you so much for perfect experience!

Captain Will is a pro! He treated us to a wonderful day on the SF bay. He took us under both bridges; we cruised Alcatraz and skirted the SF shoreline. We saw the floating houses of Sausalito, lots of harbor porpoises, sea lions and sea gulls. I highly recommend this fantastic time with Captain Will , Sailing SF Bay!!
