Itinerary

The most popular way to experience the real Sumatran tropical rainforest is an adventurous overnight stay in the Gunung Leuser National Park. On a peaceful campsite along a river bank your sweet dreams will be accompanied by the natural melodies of the jungle. In the morning you will wake up to the sounds of monkeys, birds, insects and the Bohorok River. We recommend our overnight trek for sportive travellers who want to hike 2 days in fantastic tropical nature and experience the nocturnal life of the jungle.

Starting from whether it was about booking, pick up, transfer, trekking itself or accommodation: everything was amazing. We are very satisfied with everything. The food was delicious and varied, whether it was breakfast or when we ate in the jungle. The team here works hard and is friendly. The guide guided us safely and comfortably, explained many things, and we had a great time. What really attracts attention is the water taxi. We also saw a total of almost 10 orangutans and several monkeys while in the forest. Will do it again on another occasion.

We booked an unforgettable 5 day tour into the jungle. We also got to see some animals, crossed then along the river and finally took the tube back to Bukit Lawang. The food is delicious and varied. Our team always pays attention to everything and makes sure we don't leave any rubbish in this forest.

This was a very good exercise, the guide was very friendly and kind and had good information about Medan and Indonesia. The guides in this national park were very helpful for our safety even when we were in the forest

Very friendly people, tasty food and interesting tours. We had a wonderful jungle tour and the guides were very friendly and helped to reorganise our trip quickly when our daughter got sick. We can highly recommend booking with Bukit Lawang Travel!
