Overview

The perfect tour for a first taste of snowmobiling! You will enjoy the beautiful wintry landscapes and have plenty of photo opportunities during our short stops. If you do not have a driver's licence, this tour can also be enjoyed as a scenic sledge ride. This shorter snowmobile tour is also a great choice for families with children!

Meeting points

We will pick you up from the car park, outside of the Levi Tourist Information centre in Myllyjoentie 2, 99130 Sirkka. Your meeting time is 30 minutes before the start of your tour, so your transfer departs at 11:30. Please be on time, as refunds will not be issued for late arrivals or no shows.

Itinerary

Try snowmobiling trough the beautiful winter scenery and snowy forests in Levi. We will make short stops to admire the Lappish nature where the opportunities for photos are abundant. We aim to keep our groups small and connect with our guests. You will hear stories about life in Lapland from our amazing guides. The driving time is approximately 40 - 50 minutes and the driving distance depends on the driving skills of the group. Two adults ride on one snowmobile, single riding is possible for an extra charge. Children 4 - 14 years will travel in a sleigh pulled behind the guide's snowmobile when child price is paid. Children over 140 cm can sit on a snowmobile, when paying adult price for the tour. The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B driver’s license. Customers intending to drive a snowmobile must bring their driving license with them on the tour. According to Finnish traffic regulations, a copy or a photograph of the driving license cannot be accepted. If you do not bring your driving license you won't be able to drive and no refund can be offered.

Children 4 - 14yrs paying the child price are entitled to a space in the sledge pulled by the guide's snowmobile. Children over 140cm may ride as a passenger on the snowmobile, when paying the adult price. Children 7 years and under should be accompanied by an adult in the sleigh. Please note, that we do not recommend snowmobile safaris for children under 4 years for their own comfort and safety.
Snowmobile tours are not suitable for pregnant women due to vibrations as a result of uneven tracks, and the presence of exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.
All snowmobiles used on tours are insured as required by Finnish law. The self liability amount for damage caused to the snowmobile is a flat rate of 900€. By purchasing an additional self liability waiver for 20€/driver you can reduce the self liability flat rate to 150€/driver/accident case.
Wild Nordic reserves the right to change the route and duration of all excursions due to the prevailing weather and snow conditions or in consideration of the safety and comfort of the participants. Wild Nordic reserves the right to discontinue the tour if a participant is seen as a potential danger to him/herself or to others or is in poor health. Pre-paid safaris will not be refunded in such cases.
