Overview

Set off to sea and watch whales and dolphins in their natural environment during this half-day boat trip of the Canary Islands from Valle Gran Rey. With a small group of no more than 10 guests, climb aboard a traditional Canarian fishing boat and discover spots with plenty of marine life. From your on-board guide, get insight into the behavior and physiology of the whales and dolphins you'll see — and learn why respectful whale watching is of absolute importance.

    From the harbour of Vueltas we go out on the ocean in the south-west off La Gomera for 3-4 hours, on the lookout for whales and dolphins.

Unique whale experience

Beautiful experience! We got very close to the animals in this small fishing boat, we didn’t scare them! They swam up to us and seemed curious about the boat, swam around and under it. We really appreciated the 2 hosts who are very engaged in animal rights and knowledgeable about all the different whales and dolphins in the area. Warm recommendations! An unbelievable nice tour in a very small, former fisherboat - only 10 guests on board. Nicole was a very compassionate guide, really loving the sea, all animals and her job. We spotted one turtle, several dolphins and pilot-whales (indeed, bigger dolphins themselves). They are very, very senisitive dealing with the animals - only 2 boats allowed at the same time, motor turned down several times to not frighten the animals. BEST TOUR.

Very nice trip. The guide was able to tell us a lot about the sea and the animals. When we saw pilot whales en dolphins we really took the time to enjoy the animals, instead of rushing back. I had a lot of fun. Very nice that the boat and the group weren't too big, it was very personal. Good organisation.

Whale watching

The whole whale watching experience was very good. We saw a lot of whales, some having a baby with them. We were given drinks and little snacks on this trip. The boat stopped for a while giving people a chance to have a swim if they so wished . We were on the boat for about 4 hours .

Great trip! Very friendly and informative guide and captain. We saw bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales. Small boat (only up to about 15 people) and nice pace so can take some time to relax in the nice weather! Guide spoke English, Spanish and German so very versatile!
